6/24/10 Hagedorn Takes the HS Eliminator Win at GIR

Kegan Hagedorn took home another trophy from Gateway International Raceway in the High School division. Hagedorn took out HS regulars Gary Lewis and Tim Mallicoat Jr. on the way to his win.

In the second round of competition there may have been the strangest race at the drag strip that night. Cheyenne Bittle took on Erik Lipka. Lipka left first, via the handicapped start, and had a great reaction time. However, as soon as Bittle left, it was obvious her ’70 Dodge Dart was experiencing difficulties. Her car lumbered down the track no where near to running its dial-in. Lipka cruised through the finish line, but when the scoreboard lit up, it did not show win lights. Lipka broke out and as Bittle crossed the finish line 12 seconds later, she received the win light.

In the final round Bittle was unable to return to the track and Hagedorn took a single to victory. Hagedorn’s victory adds yet another in the win column to Hermann High School.
